Unionville Vineyards

Down a picturesque country road in Ringoes, NJ, you’ll find Unionville Vineyards; a quaint winery resting on farm land from the 1850s. The first vineyard was planted on this property in 1988 and it now boasts over 15 acres planted onsite. We had the privilege of visiting Unionville this past weekend and meeting with Lainie (our new friend) for a lovely tour and tasting.

Unionville Vineyards has five vineyards in three different NJ counties where they are able to grow grapes in different soils and microclimates, providing over 90% of the grapes they use to make their award winning wines – truly making it a NJ product through and through. Unionville can even boast about being the only U.S. wine to get Gold-Best in class in 2010 International Wine & Spirits Competition. Take that, California!

We were excited to learn about some of the upcoming events, especially the one that mixes two of our favorite things- food & wine! Unionville will be hosting their first food truck event on July 30th, where they will have recommended wines to enjoy with the food truck grub. Unionville is a must visit for any NJ wine enthusiast.

Check out their website for more information.
