Updated: Nov 7, 2019

New Jersey is know for having some of the best food and produce in the U.S. Whether it’s the farm fresh tomatoes, sweet white corn, fantastic bagels, amazing pizzas, or legendary pork roll, the Garden state just does it right. We are proud to say, you can now add top notch beers and breweries to the list!

The Craft beer industry has exploded over the past few years and New Jersey is right in the fold with some quality suds. We have traveled all over the state and visited tons of breweries, & we’ve compiled our list of the top five breweries you gotta try.

#1. KANE

Kane Brewery is located in Ocean Township and was founded in 2011.

Kane quickly became the gold standard for craft beers in New Jersey and in our opinion, they are still the best. Whether it's their standard Head High, Overhead IPAs or their special realeses such as Sea Change Brettanomyces Pale Ale, the quality and superb taste is always there.

#2. Troon

When we tell you that Troon brews some of the best beers you will find, you better believe it. Troon Brewing is located behind the Brick Farm Tavern (read our blog) and the tavern is the only place that serves the line-up of beer on draft or gives tastings. The brewery does cannings, but make sure to get their early because they sell out quick. Two Dopes Tip: Make sure you are sitting while drinking, because these brews make you weak in the knees!

#3. Carton

The brewers at Carton Brewing are the mad scientists of the New Jersey craft scene. They are fearless in their constant quest to push the envelope and create uniguely flavored beers. With that being said, their year round brews such as Boat Beer and 077XX are great. During the summer, you definitely don't want to miss out on Beach! Visit the very cool tasting room and bring your adventurous side.

EGOIPA (ABV 8.8%) - American Double / Imperial IPA with tons of dank hoppy goodness

#4. Magnify

Magnify Brewing may be the new kids on the block, but boy do they bring the quality. Right next store to Jersey Spirits (read our blog), They offer full pours of the year round group as well as their lmited releases. It's hard not to smile when drinking anything that Magnify has to offer. The beers are always big on flavor and very satisfying.

Fermented in our oak Foeder with Brettanomyces, Search Saison is a rustic saison with notes of white wine.

Cape May Brewing can sit at the table with any other IPA's out there.

Oh and did we mention that their sour blonde ale was number one on Beer Connoisseur magazine's top 100 rated beers of 2017!
