A Weekend at the W Hoboken

Updated: Nov 7, 2019

The W Hoboken is right on the Hudson River, set at an ideal location to walk to the downtown, which is full of a variety of restaurants, bars and shops. It’s a great place to stay if you’re looking to spend a weekend exploring Hoboken, or if you want a quick commute to NYC. The staff is friendly and overall the hotel has an upscale and stylish vibe.

The Room

We booked the Spectacular Room with a New York City Skyline view. The room was a little on the smaller size, but it definitely did not feel cramped. The understated décor was more of a backdrop to the view of One World Trade Center and the Manhattan Skyline, which was absolutely the WOW factor of this room.

The Bar

The Living Room bar is located just past the lobby and has a casual, but swanky vibe. The actual bar is very small, and most of the seating is comprised of lush couches and velvet chairs. The cocktail menu has some great selections and it’s a great spot to grab a drink before going out or to end your night with a night cap. Two Dopes Tip: try the Ramos Fizz!

The Restaurant

Halifax, named for the capital of Nova Scotia, focuses on local and fresh ingredients. Their menu features sustainable ingredients that are sourced from local farmers and fishermen. With stunning views of the Hudson River and Manhattan, the space feels light and airy during the day, but transforms into a more romantic space at night. They have a delicious brunch, complete with a bloody Mary Bar and a compressive dinner menu. With a larger bar than the Living Room, it’s another great option to grab a drink at the hotel.  You can read more about the brunch here.

Nice bright space with views of the city

The Blood Mary Bar is worth the trip alone!
