Jersey Shore Ice at the Pier
The ice skating rink overlooking the ocean at Pier Village in Long Branch is a really fun way to get into the winter spirit. It is open to from Thanksgiving to Presidents Day, and with an arcade and a few bars and restaurants within walking distance, it’s a great option for both couples and families. Dope Tip: Make sure you really bundle up, as the winds can be a bit fierce when you’re skating so close to the ocean!
Christmas in Cape May
Cape May in December is a magical glimpse into a Victorian style Christmas. With many events ranging from Christmas Candlelight House Tours to the many different themed trolley rides, you’re sure to find an event that suited to you. Taking a tour of the Physick Family Christmas House, which is decorated in a traditional Victorian style is a great way to transport yourself back in time for a unique living history experience.
Asbury Park Holiday Bazaar
Located in the Asbury Park Convention Hall, the Holiday Bazaar takes place on selected weekends between Nov 26th and Dec 23rd. It’s a great spot for some holidayshopping, with hundreds of vintage and handcraft vendors, live music, photos with Santa & a beautiful Christmas tree.

Visit the Surflight Theatre on Long Beach Island for a an exciting Christmas Play that will get you into the holiday spirit. The Surflight Theatre is a professional theatre that produces plays all year, although we think it is extra magical this time of year.

Historic Smithville in Atlantic County is a great place to visit any season, but there is something magical about it during the most wonderful time of the year. Walking through the adorable little shops, including Candle & Christmas Shoppe, is a perfect way to tackle some of your holiday shopping made magical by the light show. The lake at the center of Smithville is filled with floating trees that light up to a playlist of different Christmas songs.
