The Château Grande Hotel and Orchard Park by David Burke

We were in desperate need for a date night and had a fantastic staycation at the grand Château Hotel in East Brunswick. Between the gorgeous grounds, stylish bar and delicious restaurant, we got the recharge we were looking for.

After checking into our room, we took a romantic stroll through the gardens and fell in love with the property. The water fountains, European statues and boxwood hedges transported us to a Parisian park and served as a lovely backdrop for a relaxing night away.

We stopped by the bar for a pre-dinner cocktail and then made our way to Orchard Park by David Burke for a delicious meal. Orchard Park is another feather in the cap for Celebrity Chef David Burke, a New Jersey native. The elegance of the restaurant is enhanced by the open kitchen and a salt room dining room enclosed by glass walls. The modern cuisine menu features one of Burke’s signature dishes, the Clothesline Bacon, which is also one of our favorites. We also devoured the crab and oyster appetizer with orange segments along with fantastic duck dumplings. Our lamb chop and octopus & scallops entrees were as filling as they were delicious and our night was enhanced by the lovely cocktail menu. Some of our favorites were the Asian Pear Caipiroska with vodka, muddled Asian pear & lime and the “Our Sunsets are BOMB!” with gin, raspberry, lemon & hibiscus.

All in all, Orchard Park by David Burke and the Grand Chateau Hotel is #TwoDopesApproved
